Sunday School 9:00
Traditional Worship Service at 10:15 am
Sunday School - Classes for all age groups starting at 9 am. The Fidelis Class is our adult Bible study each Sunday morning with interactive dialogue and discussion. Alternating teachers, and occasional socials and projects.
Sunday School classes include those for elementary aged children from age five to grade six, youth from grades seven through twelve, and the Christian Crusaders which is a multi-aged adult class with discussion and lecture format.
For the youngest children, our nursery is available and staffed for the safety of the children and the peace-of-mind of the parents.
Traditional Worship Service - An opportunity to worship together at 10:15 am. Prayer, hymns, a brief children's sermon and our chancel choir are all a part of the service. We celebrate Holy Communion at every service. Click on the underlined words in the previous sentence or the chalice on the left of the website, and it will tell you more about this central part of our worship. Usually after services, there is a reception with refreshments served in the Narthex which gives us an opportunity to visit with one another in an informal atmosphere.
Special Times - There are a number of reception areas at First Christian Church that are used for weddings, funeral and memorial services, and even quiet reflection. These areas are air-conditioned and quite comfortable.
There are also lower area meeting rooms with a full kitchen where fellowship meals such as pot-luck suppers and larger meetings are held.
Something For Everyone - There are summer camp programs for youngsters and youth, activities for men as well as women, choir programs for all ages, and many opportunities to grow together in Bible study and fun activities. Each month, there is something for the whole family to do...or for just you!!
Since a church does the work of Jesus Christ as His disciples, we offer many outreach programs including the support of a hospital in Zaire, sponsorship of Pantry Sunday and Blanket Sunday, and we participate with Girl Scouts and Brownies, as well as provide church services for residents of nursing homes in both York and Cumberland Counties. We're ready to do anything we can with enough willing hands.
If you want to have fun and accomplish many things in a worshipful manner, please join us and see for yourself how much fun and meaningful your life can be!
